본 발명은 하기 일반식(I)의 알칸폴리카르복실산 유도체의 셀룰로오스 교차 결합제로서의 용도 및, 그를 함유하는 직물 가공제 및 신규 유도체 (I)에 관한 것이다. 상기 식에서, n 및 m은 동일하거나 또는 상이한 것으로서 0 또는 1이고, R, R, R및 R은 수소 원자 또는 카르복실기를 나타태며 (단, 상기 치환체 R, R, R및 R중에서 2개 이상은 카르복실기임), R, R, R및 R은 수소 원자 또는 -PO(OH)(OR)기 (여기에서, R은 수소 원자 또는 C-C알킬기임)를 나타낸다 (단, 상기 치환체 R, R, R및 R중에서 1개만이 -PO(OH)(OR)기임).
