Zusammenfassung:	Asbestos-free filter cartridge for filtering gases, especially hot and/or radioactive and/or corrosive gases. … The said cartridge consists of a hollow, substantially cylindrical body closed at one of its ends and open at the other end, containing at least 50% by weight of alumina and/or of zirconia and being optionally provided with means for being supported by a plate; the said body being obtained by vacuum moulding of a slip containing alumina and/or zirconia fibres whose diameter is smaller than 20 mu m and length shorter than 25 mm, colloidal silica, at least one organic binder and at least one deflocculating agent, followed by drying and heat treatment at a temperature sufficient to volatilise the said organic binder(s) and the said deflocculating agent(s).
