COMBUSTION DEVICE

PURPOSE: To improve the heat resistant property of an evaporator, for evaporating liquid fuel and mixing the evaporated liquid fuel with combustion air to burn at a burner head. CONSTITUTION: A combustion device 1 is provided with an evaporator 2, evaporating liquid fuel 10 and mixing the evaporated liquid fuel 10 with combustion air A1 to burn the mixture in a burner head 15, while the evaporator 2 is made of a casting consisting of an aluminum alloy containing at least 2.0-3.5wt.% of manganese and 0.5-1.5wt.% of silicon. According to this method, the heat resistant property as well as the mechanical strength of the evaporator 2 are improved remarkably and the heating of the evaporator 2 to a higher temperature is permitted whereby the production of tar in the evaporator 2 can be restrained and excellent evaporating combustion can be effected even when the liquid fuel 10, having a high evaporating temperature, is employed.
