SAFETY DEVICE FOR FLOOR CONVEYOR

PURPOSE:To prevent the danger that a worker's foot is caught by a slit of the floor plates, which seal a pit, and that a foreign matter is fallen into the pit through the slit, and to aim at the safety of the floor surface of a conveyor. CONSTITUTION:Plural auxiliary floor plates 52 are arranged along at least one edge of a required block of a slit 22 of the floor plates 21. Each auxiliary floor plate 52 is supported on an arm 61 freely to be moved forward and backward in relation to the yoke moving route and freely to be oscillated in the vertical direction so as to form the surface as same as the floor plates 21. Downward oscillation of each auxiliary floor plate 52 is regulated by a stopper 71 so that the condition that the auxiliary floor plates 52 is formed as same as the floor plates 21 is the lower limit. The auxiliary floor plates 52 are energized by a spring 75 so as to be oscillated downward. A yoke 35 during the movement abuts on the auxiliary floor plates 52 at the lower limit position, and the auxiliary floor plates 52 are thereby oscillated upward so as to be retreated from the yoke moving route.
