Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a promoter for hair growth and hair nourishment useful for alopecia, showing excellently hair nourishing effects and high safety free from side effects and skin irritation, containing hydantoin or a derivative thereof. CONSTITUTION:The aimed promoter containing 0.001-10wt.%, preferably 0.01-3wt.% calculated as calculated as a dry material based on total amount of a hair tonic of one or more of hydantoin or a derivative thereof. The promoter can be blended with other components such as minoxidil, diazoxide and various androgen. Further the promoter can be properly mixed with an antimicrobial agent, refreshing agent, oil component, surface active agent, perfume, antioxidant, ethanol and water. Hydantoin and the derivative thereof are well-known substances as an antiepiletic.
