REMOVABLE TYPE ROOF MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To ensure the holding of a penel body by providing a projecting piece having an engaging cut-out, at one side edge of the panel body, and by providing a receiving part having an engine projecting part and adapted to receive therein the projecting piece, at one side edge of an opening in a roof. CONSTITUTION:A cut-out 9 is formed in the forward end part of a male hinge 4 mounted at one side edge of a panel body 3, near to the center part of the panel body 3. A projecting piece 10 adapted to be engaged with the cut-out 9 is formed in one side edge part of an insertion hole 6a in a female hinge 6. A guide part 9a is formed in the cut-out 9. With this arrangement, the installation and removable of the panel body 3 into and from the opening is carried out in the direction of the arrow without the cut-out 9 being engaged with the projecting piece 10 so that the installation and removal maybe smoothly performed. However, when the panel body 3 is bowed upward so that the male flange 4 is pulled toward the center, the cut-out 9 engages with the projecting piece 10 so as to prevent the panel body from dropping. Thus, it is possible to ensure the holding of the panel body.
