COMPOSITION USED IN ORAL CAVITY FOR ORTHODONTIC THERAPY OF TOOTH

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing active type vitamin D3s, directly applicable to orthodontic parts or vicinity thereof in correction by a conventional orthodontic therapy, facilitating tooth movement and carrying out the tooth correction in a short period without causing unfavorable side effects. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by containing active vitamin D3s, preferably 1alpha,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol as an active ingredient in an amount of 10pg/g-10mug/g, preferably 100pg/g-1mug/g. When the above-mentioned composition is locally administered in correction, the number of emergent osteoclastic cells is remarkably increased as compared with that in a conventional method relying only on physical force and absorption of alveolar bones is accelerated to facilitate tooth movement. Thereby desired tooth orthodontic therapy can be carried out in a short time.
