FEEDING DEVICE FOR MATERIAL OF CHIPPER

PURPOSE:To make transfer smooth in the material feeding device for the chipper of wood, etc., by installing an oscillation conveyor in an alignment with a spout and providing a retainer plate the end of which is directed to an inserting port side while which can be vertically oscillated on the rear end of the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A chipper 1 is rotatingly driven while an oscillation conveyor 10 is longitudinally oscillated. Thereby, wood which is fed to the oscillation conveyor 10 is moved toward a spout 8. The height of the wood is detected by means of a detecting device 25 and a fluid cylinder 22 is operated. Thereby, a quadruple link 17 is longitudinally oscillated, lifting a support arm 20 up and down along a casing 2 causing a retainer plate 21 to be oscillated up and down to retain the wood in a position corresponding to the height of the moving wood. By this structure, since the wood is always retained by the retainer plate 21, it will not cause the wood to swing its tail part or to be floated up even when its size gets shorter, enabling the wood to be smoothly transferred and obtaining a smooth operation.
