Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make a retainer for a roller bearing or the like usable for a long time even under severe environmental conditions by forming it from a composition made up of containing a glass fiber in straight chain polyphenylene sulfide resin as much as the specified rate. CONSTITUTION:A retainer for a roller bearing, a needle bearing, a ball bearing or the like is formed from a composition made up of containing a glass fiber of about 1-0.2mm in mean fiber length and about 20-5mum in mean fiber diameter in straight chain polyphenylene sulfide resin as much as 0-50wt.% or so, if possible, about 10-45%. This straight chain polyphenylene sulfide resin is one that makes a molecular chain grow up to a high polymer value in straight chain form at a polymerizing stage, and it shows excellent heat resistance, oil resistance and chemical resistance and simultaneously it has a high mechanical characteristic and, what is more, it enjoys snap fittability necessary for the cage. Thus, it can maintain its performance over a long time even under severe application conditions such as high temperature, high speed rotation, high load conditions and so on.
