ELECTROTRANSFERRING FILM

PURPOSE:To efficiently heat a dye layer with less heat sink and less energy, and to form an image in high density at a high speed by forming a thermal transfer dye layer on one side face of a resistance heating film. CONSTITUTION:A layer 2 which contains dye movable by heat is formed on one side face of a resistance heating film 1. Such an electrotransferring film 10 is energized by an energizing head 3 to feed a current through the film 1 of a resistance heating layer to an earth electrode 4, and the resistance heating layer 1 is heated during this period to simultaneously heat the dye layer 2. As a result, the dye is transferred to a material 5 to be transferred, thereby forming an image 6 in the material to the transferred. Since the head 3 is not almost heated, cooling is not required, and the recording can be much accelerated as compared with a method which employs a conventional thermal head.
