BAR CODE READER

PURPOSE:To automatically erase the previous content of a memory and to attain a simple operation, by detecting that a switch for data transmission is depressed in a detector and erasing the memory when a new bar code is inputted. CONSTITUTION:The detector 6 detecting the depression of the switch 5 and a means 7 erasing the memory when the new bar code is inputted by the operation of the detector 6 are provided. Consequently, the previous content of the memory 3 can automatically be erased when bar code information is inputted after data transmission and new bar code information can sequentially be stored in the memory 3. Thus, an excessive operation for erasing the memory 3 can be prevented.
