CHARACTER STRING WRITE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily input data such as a pattern to a VTR by permitting a bar code canner to scan a bar code showing data of a character to be written and the size of the character and transmitting them to a VTR mainbody. CONSTITUTION:The bar code of a control command is searched on a bar code sheet 3, is scanned by the bar code scanner 2 and data are inputted to a bar code read part 4. Next, data are wireless-transferred from a remote control signal transmission part 5 in the scanner 2 to a reception part 7 in the VTR mainbody 1 and then, data are transmitted to a control part 8 and stored in a character pattern generation circuit 9. Consequently, a user can decide the character to be written while he simultaneously views all the characters on the bar bode sheet 3, which can be written. Thus, a video signal can be recorded only by scanning the bar code on the bar code sheet 3 by the scanner 2 and transferring it to the VTR mainbody 1.
