Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To prevent a paper jam at the time of using this separating pawl for a high-speed copying machine by coating this pawl with a layer contg. a specific copolymer. CONSTITUTION: At least the front end surface of a peeling part 1 is coated with a layer contg. a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, in some cases, hexafluoropropylene and perfluorovinyl ether. This separating pawl is obtd. by molding only the peeling part 1 by compression molding of polyimide and, if necessary, machining, placing the resulted peeling part 1 further on an injection molding metal mold for molding a supporting part, then injection molding a thermoplastic resin into this metal mold and molding the supporting part 2 together with the peeling part 1. As a result, the wear and deterioration of the coating layer are prevented and the paper jam by the adhesion of toners to the front end of the peeling part is prevented.
