SLITTING MACHINE FOR DEFORMED STRIP

PURPOSE:To contrive improvement of dimensional accuracy in the width direction of a deformed strip with easy alignment by providing a step differenced fitting roll, which rotates being fitted to a step differenced part of the deformed strip integrally formed with a slit blade, and slitting a workpiece while it is positioned. CONSTITUTION:Setting a workpiece 1 to a payoff reel 2, the workpiece 1, while it is unwound by a pitch roll 3, is fed to a rolling machine 4. And setting a predetermined cutter to a slitter 6 simultaneously slitting the workpiece 1 with rolling, the workpiece 1, while it is measured in its plate thickness in an outlet side, is rewound onto a tension reel 9 after degreasing and washing. Here, when the center of the slitter 6 is almost aligned to the line center, the workpiece 1 enables the deformed sectional thickness part to be surely guided by a step differenced fitting roll 12b of a grooved cutter 12. Thus enabling the alignment to be easily performed, slitting of good dimensional accuracy in the width direction can be performed without receiving even an influence of meandering.
