GOLF CLUB HEAD OF WOOD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To form various patterns and to extend a carry by combining plural pieces of score lines and dimples on a face surface at the time of forming a club head, thereby forming the golf club head. CONSTITUTION: An insert die 17 having the patterns consisting of the plural score lines and dimples is disposed in the club head face part 11 of a lower mold 14 and a fiber reinforced plastic material is placed in the lower mold 14 and an upper mold 15 and is compression molded or injection molded, by which the club head is formed. At the time of parting, the upper mold 15 is removed and, thereafter, the club head and the insert die 17 are simultaneously removed from the lower mold 14 and, further, the insert die 17 is released from the face surface 1, by which the wood golf club head is molded. If the club head is molded in such a manner, the formation of the various patterns is made possible and, therefore, the extending of the carry is made possible and the working stages are shortened. Productivity is thus enhanced.
