DETECTION OF X RAY FILM AND LOADING AND UNLOADING OF X RAYS FOR CASSETTE

PURPOSE: To detect a presence or absence of sheet film by actuating a film takeout means, moving an intensifying foil together with an acting member and allowing a proximity switch to respond in the case the sheet film is not placed on the intensifying foil, and controlling the operation of a device for loading and ejecting the film to a cassette. CONSTITUTION: In the case the sheet film 26 is on the intensifying foil 24, only the film 26 is lifted, so that the proximity switch 32 is more largely changed than in the case the film 26 is not on the foil 29. Or the switch 32 is moved together with a suction device 9 and closed when it approaches to the film 26 or the acting member 27, and opened when the film 26 is lifted, or kept closed when the film 26 does not exist and the foil 24 is lifted. Thus, such malfunction that the cassette is taken out though the film exists in a part other than the base part of the cassette is prevented from occurring.
