When one takes hold of the door grip, the electrostatic capacity greatly varies and the device counts 6 the generated number of the pulse generator 5 for 0.1 sec of the oscillation period of a pulse generator 35 and compares with the prior read-out figure through a microprocessor 32 and drives a motor for a lock mechanism to release the lock. Accordingly, it is not necessary to manipulate the lock to release it and hence, the operability for opening the door is improved.
