Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To allow an induction motor to be stably driven with current respon siveness fully ensured even in high speed range, by increasing the frequency of a carrier wave when the motor speed exceeds the limits where the pulse number of a PWM signal comes to be reduced rapidly. CONSTITUTION:A DC power supply 10 is applied to an induction motor 40 through a PWM inverter 20. Comparators 91, 93 compares each voltage com mand signal with the carrier wave from a carrier wave generator 113. They produce three-phase PWM signals and a gate drive circuit 100 produces gate signals in correspondence with these PWM signals and applies them to each power switching element of a PWM inverter 20. The carrier wave frequency from the carrier wave generator 113 is variably controlled by the command from a carrier wave frequency command generator 112 in accordance with the rotating speed of the induction motor 40. |
