EMERGENCY OPERATION CIRCUIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to stop the operation of an outdoor unit by making it possible to effect an emergency operation by changing the position of insertion of a shortcircuit connector when the microcomputer of the outdoor unit is out of order and making contact point switching for a protection device on the side of an indoor unit by using a signal transmission line between indoor and outdoor when the indoor unit is out of order. CONSTITUTION:When an emergency operation is to be carried out because a microcomputer is out of order, it is done by taking away a shortcircuit connector 18 from connection terminals for ordinary operation and shortcircuiting connection terminals 20 for room cooling or connection terminals 21 for room cooling and throwing in an electric power source switch 45. And a transmission line 3 for the indoor and outdoor is connected from the connection terminals 51 of an indoor board 1 to a terminal base 49 for connecting an indoor unit, terminal base 50 for connecting an outdoor unit, and connection terminals 52 of an outdoor board 2. This arrangement becomes, during an emergency operation, an arrangement in which the connection line between the connection terminals 51 and 49 is removed and it is changed to be connected to a protection device which becomes open while the protection device of the indoor unit is in operation. Further, in the outdoor unit 48 the connection between the connection terminals 52 and 50 is taken away and it is changed to be connected to connection terminals 20 for room heating (or connection terminals 21 for room cooling). At the same time the shortcircuit connector 18 is removed.
