LOW NOISE TYPE BODY MOUNT TYPE RAILWAY VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To reduce air resistance and travelling noises by making the bottom plate of an underfloor apparatus chamber of a body mount system vehicle of a sound absorbing plate, while to mount another sound absorbing plate provided with a notch for a wheel, made of an aluminum foam material and having light weight and large yield strength beneath a truck chassis. CONSTITUTION:In a body mount system rail-way vehicle having the side surface of a car body 1 except for a truck 2 lowered to a vehicle limit to constitute an enclosed underfloor apparatus chamber, a bottom plate 9 of the under floor apparatus chamber is made of a sound absorbing plate having a perforated metal plate lined with a sound absorbing material. To the lower portion of truck 2 is mounted through a fitting 5 a sound absorbing plate 6 having a sound absorbing material made of an aluminum foaming material with light weight and high strength and rigidity and a sound shielding plate having an air layer. The sound absorbing plate 6 is provided with a notch through which a wheel portion passes and adapted to approach a rail up to a vehicle limit. The reflection of travelling noises from the lower surface of vehicle is obviated and the travelling noises on a high speed rail-way are reduced while air resistance can be reduced by the body mount construction.
