Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To achieve sure clamping by engaging a projection provided on one seat belt engagement surface between the projections provided on the other seat belt engagement surface in a retractor where a seat belt is clamped between the first and second seat belt engagement surfaces. CONSTITUTION: One base surface 10 of a clamping wedge is provided with a cylindrical deep part 20, a first cylindrical post 22 and a first U-shaped notch part 24, and the post 22 is received in the second U-shaped notch part 30 of the other base surface 10. Similarly, the other side cylindrical posts 26, 32 are received in the cylindrical deep part 20 and the notch part 24. Thus, at the time of assembling, a seat belt is extended between the clamp surfaces of two clamp wedges, and when it is moved between them, the teeth of the wedges penetrate the material of the seat belt and engage therewith to surely clamp the belt.
