ASSEMBLY EQUIPMENT FOR PARTS FOR LOWER SECTION OF CAR

PURPOSE:To readily cope with model changes by providing a mechanism for changing the space between the first and second front and rear section pallet member placing sections and changing the locations for exchanging the members of both pallets and changing the location of front and rear rotary machines. CONSTITUTION:Front and rear pallet members 8f and 8r locating and placing a workpiece set pallet 14 on which front and rear lower section parts 5f and 5r are set and bolt set pallet 15 are located on the first and second placing sections 2091 and 2092 through the front and rear section supporting base 195 and 195 of a lifting table 49, and the location pins are opposed to the location holes of a car body 4. In changing a wheel base caused by model change, the space between both placing sections 2091 and 2092 is changed by driving the respective servo motors 197 for exchanging the front and rear pallet members 8f and 8r and changing the location of front and rear section rotary machine 13f and 13r to fasten the screw members on the pallet 15. This can readily cope with model change.
