REMOTE CONTROLLER FOR VIDEO TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To judge whether or not video recording for a time desired to record is possible by providing a means for obtaining tape residual amount and a notifying means such as voice synthesis or buzzer. CONSTITUTION:A remote operator sends a remote control command signal for a predetermined VTR by pushbutton operation prior to the reservation operation of timer video recording after a telephone line is connected. A remote control microcomputer 6 checks the presence of a loaded cassette tape and informs it as a voice signal to the remote operator by a voice synthesis circuit 12 if the tape is not loaded. The microcomputer 6 informs the tape residual amount to the remote operator as a voice signal by the voice synthesis circuit 12 when the tape is loaded.
