CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To prevent obstacles due to statical electricity easily and at low cost by adhering a face plate to a front glass by the use of adhesives including a transparent hardener and a certain volume specific resistance. CONSTITUTION:The face plate of a CRT body is adhered to a front glass by the use of adhesives including a transparent hardener and a certain volume specific resistance below 5X10 OMEGAcm. As the adhesives, compound of photo- hardening resin is used, for ex. consisting of a photo-polymerization starting agent and a polyether acrylate expressed by the formula as described and having a mean molecular weight of 500-5000. In the formula, X and Y are acryloyl radical, methacryloyl radical, hydrogen, halogen, alkyl radical, or phenyl radical which may include a substitute radical, R1 is hydrocarbon radical of aliphatic type containing three or more carbons or aromatic type having valency of two, n1 integer 2 or greater; n2 integer either 0 or 1 or greater. Therein either of the X and Y is acryloyl radical or methacryloyl radical.
