SNOW-PROOF METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION LINE ACCESSORY

PURPOSE:To promote the drop of icy snow before it grows to a large block, and enable damage due to snowfall, to be minimized, by winding up the outer periphery of an accessory with a filament unit made of magnetic material having a low curie point, in a close contact state. CONSTITUTION:An accessory like a spacer clamp 2 fitted on an electric wire 1 is cintrived to be wound up with a filament unit 3 made of magnetic material having a low curie point, in a close contact state. The curie point of the filament unit 3 should be set at an approximate temperature for generating attached icy snow, and the number of turns should be controlled according to a necessary heat generation quantity. As a result, the filament unit 3 is turned ferromagnetic near the icy snow point, and heat is generated based on a hysteresis loss due to the action of current flowing through the wire 1, and so the icy snow is prevented from growing to a large block at a section for fitting on the accessory 2.
