Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To prevent some accelerating hesitation and a large torque shock from occurring by temporarily stopping the execution of an inflow timing lag in intake air at the time of quick acceleration. CONSTITUTION:A control unit U controls a timing advance mechanism 26 of a timing valve 16 on the basis of each signal out of a sensor 31 detecting the opening of a throttle valve 14, a sensor 32 detecting engine speed and a sensor detecting engine cooling water temperature, and also controls the inflow timing of intake air into an operating chamber 6. Here, at the time of quick acceleration shifting from an area, where the engine speed and the throttle opening are expressed as a parameter and quick-closing of the intake air is performed, to an area where slow-opening of the intake air is performed, this transition is delayed as long as the specified time. With this constitution, a sudden increase in an intake air quantity, that is, the extreme leanness of an air-fuel ratio is prevented from occurring, whereby any accelerating hesitation is eliminated and, what is more, a large torque shock at the point of time when response of a fuel supply has been overtaken is prevented from occurring. |
