WELDING HEAD CLAMPING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To clamp a welding head to a tubular body easily and surely by a small sized device by driving the movable piece to clamp-unclamp a tubular body by advancing to and retreating from a fixed guide with a cylinder mechanism by a spring and compressed gas. CONSTITUTION:A tubular body 2 is fixed by interposing it between the fixed guide 7 provided on a welding head main body 6 and a movable piece 9 by advancing and retreating the latter to and from the former. In said clamp device of the welding head 1 said movable piece 9 is advanced and retreated by a cylinder 19 and tensile coil spring 11 via the lever 10 in about a chevron shape and the lever 17 engaged therewith. Said cylinder 19 feeds a compressed gaseous body by switching it by a switch 4, strongly clamps by increasing the driving force at a piston rod 16 extension time by a built-in compression coil spring 29 as well and at unclamping time the movable piece 9 is retreated against the elasticity of the spring 29.
