FRP MOLDED ARTICLE HAVING PATTERN

PURPOSE: To provide an FRP molding with a pattern by disposing a translucent resin layer to which a very small quantity of a pigment is mixed, which has projecting and recessed parts on the surface thereof, and a colored resin layer as a second layer, and stacking a third and following layers which are formed by impregnating glass fiber with a resin. CONSTITUTION: A bathroom unit 1 is an FRP molding in which wall materials 3 are erected in the periphery of a floor 2 and the wall materials 3 are formed by the hand lay up method. A surface layer 4 has projecting and recessed parts 5 transferred from a forming die, and is formed by adding a very small quantity of a pigment in a glare resin. A second layer 6 is a colored layer formed of a material obtained by coloring an isophthalic acid unsaturated polyester resin. A third layer 7 is formed by impregnating glass fiber of 900G/m with an orthophthalic acid unsaturated polyester resin, and staking and hardening the same. The surface layer 4 is formed by applying a material to a projection and recess forming die, and the light transmissivity is changed by the difference in film thickness of the surface layer 4, so that the color of the second layer 6 is seen in various ways by the projecting and recessed parts to present a pattern as a whole.
