FIRE RETARDANT THERMOPLASTIC MOLDING MATERIAL BASED ON REINFORCED POLYAMIDE

The moulding compositions contain, as essential components, A) 5-92% by weight of a polyamide, B) 5-60% by weight of a reinforcing filler, and, as flameproofing agent combination, C) 2-15% by weight of red phosphorus and D) 1-30% by weight of an olefin polymer built up from d1) 40-100% by weight of at least one alpha -olefin having 2-8 carbon atoms, d2) 0-50% by weight of a diene, d3) 0-45% by weight of a primary or secondary C1-C12-alkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, or mixtures of such esters, d4) 0-40% by weight of an acid-functional and/or latently acid- functional monomer of an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic or dicarboxylic acid, and d5) 0-40% by weight of a monomer containing epoxy groups, with the proviso that component D is not an olefin homopolymer and that the moulding compositions do not contain titanium dioxide.
