CONSTITUTION:A bioceramic material produced by baking a mixture of zirconia, a calcium phosphate compound and a metal fluoride. Although a commercially available zirconia can be used as a raw material, a zirconia partially stabilized e.g. with yttria, magnesia or calcia is preferable to stabilized zirconia in view of strength and toughness.
