AROMATIC POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To produce an aromatic polyester composition with excellent mechanical properties, residence stability in molding, molding flowability, and hydrolytic resistance, by adding an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative-grafted ethylenic copolymer and a specific epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of an aromatic polyester, preferably PETF or PBTF of 1.15-2 relative viscosity, are added to (B) 1-70pts.wt., preferably 2-50pts.wt. of a graft-modified ethylenic copolymer which is prepared by grafting 0.01-10wt.%, preferably 0.1-3wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative onto an ethylenic copolymer of a glass transition point lower than 30 deg.C, preferably lower than 0 deg.C such as an ethylene-propylene copolymer, and (C) 0.01-10pts.wt., preferably 0.05-5pts.wt. of an epoxy compound of the formula (Ar is preferably 4-phenylene; n is 0, 1-20, preferably 0, 1-10).
