Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain easily the title hydrogenated polymer which is superior in reactivity, compatibility and storage stability and with which a material superior in water resistance, low-temperature property, etc., is produced for specified purpose, by reacting a liquid hydrogenated isoprene polymer with a compound having an epoxy radical. CONSTITUTION:A liquid polymer having OH-radicals at the ends of polyisoprene molecular chains, which is produced by reacting isoprene with H2O2, is dissolved in a solvent and allowed to react in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst at 20-300 deg.C under a hydrogen pressure of 0-200kg/cm G for 0.1-10hr to obtain a liquid hydrogenated isoprene polymer (A). This polymer (A) mainly consists of structural units derived from the original isoprene and has 1 or more OH- radicals per molecule at the ends of its molecular chains. Next, component A is mixed with a compound (B) which has an epoxy-radical, such as a glycidyl isocyanate compound, in a proportion of 0.6mol or more of component B per equivalent of OH-radical in component A, and allowed to react to obtain the title product. It has 1 or more epoxy-radicals per molecule at the ends of its molecular chains, a number-average MW of 400-26000 and an epoxy equivalent of 100-13000. |
