PURPOSE:To start reprinting in the instant the fault of printing occurs by inform ing the occurrence of the fault of printing at such a time. CONSTITUTION:When paper on which n+2 page is printed becomes in an abnormal state in carrier, for example, when it obliquely moves, in the midst of sequentially printing (n) page, n+1 page and n+2 page in a state where a ready signal 19 is 'H' level, that means, a printing signal 20 can be received in a control device 14, a printer makes the ready signal in 'L' level. And if the n+2 page at that time can be reprinted on the instant, a one sheet request signal 24 is made in 'H' level so as to wait for a request reset command issued from the printer. Thus, by providing the one sheet request signal 24, the printing of the said page can be rapidly restarted without interrupting the printing for a long time, for example, even if the abnormality in the carrier occurs.
