Zusammenfassung:Right-angle bend joins a rectangular horizontal duct to a circular vertically ascending duct. A perforated plate is supported diagonally across the joint of the horizontal to the vertical duct. The circular perforations of this plate are preferably arranged parallel to the vertical duct walls. Its side walls are parallel to the same walls and it is made of thick metallic or ceramic material. This results in a very uniform flow and temperature profile in the vertical channel, without raising the pressure drop.
