Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of measuring dimension continuously by fitting a wear sensor to a piston through the air outlet of a cylinder liner at the stop of an engine and taking a measurement while putting the engine in operation. CONSTITUTION:A crank shaft is turned to move the piston 4, the wear sensor 6 is fitted when the fitting recessed part 15 of the sensor 6 comes to the position of the air outlet 3, and a lead wire 9 is connected by a connector part 8. The tip projection part 14 of the sensor 6 slides along the wear part of the liner 2 by the movement of the piston 4, so the strain of a strain gauge 11 varies accordingly. Consequently, the wear quantity is measured and an wear curve is obtained on a recorder 10. Therefore, the measuring operation is performed continuously while the engine is put in operation without opening a cylinder cover; and the measurement time is shortened, the labor and cost are reducible, and the wear state is analyzed in detail.
