Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding material which efficiently gives molded products having excellent surface smoothness and strength and a pearl-like gloss, by dispersing TiO2-coated mica particles in an unsaturated polyester resin and then mixing the mixture with a filler, a reinforcing agent and additives. CONSTITUTION:100pts. (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) unsaturated polyester resin (A) obtd. by polycondensing an alpha,beta-unsaturated dibasic acid (anhydride) and an arom. satd. dibasic acid (anhydride) with glycols is kneaded with 1-50pts. mica (B) having a particle size of 1-200mu, coated with anatase or rutile type TiO2 or a mixture thereof with 1-50% iron oxide at a coating ratio of 1-60% to disperse the mica in the resin. The mixture is then blended with 10-400pts. filler (C) such as clay, alumina powder, siliceous stone powder, etc., 0-60wt% (based on the amount of the molding material) reinforcing agent (D) such as glass fiber having a fiber length of 0.1-50mm and additives (E) such as 0.2-10pts. thickener (a) (e.g., a diisocyanate), 0.01-20pts. colorant (b), 0.3-3pts. curing catalyst (c) (e.g., an azo compd.), 0.5-5pts. internal parting agent (d) (e.g., stearic acid), a shrinkage-controlling agent (e), etc. |
