START-STOP SYNCHRONOUS TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To omit a function for stopping and restarting transmission by receiving control characters by a transmission-side terminal equipment by controlling the use frequency of a buffer. CONSTITUTION:Sent data from the transmission-side terminal equipment 1 has its stop bit removed by a transmitter 4 and sent to a transmission line 3. A stop bit is added to the signal on this transmission line 3 by a receiver 5 and the signal is stored in the buffer 16. At this time, a butter use monitoring circuit 17 checks the use frequency of the butter 16 and sends the result to a control circuit 18. When the use frequency increases, the control circuit 18 controls a sent clock generating circuit 19 and increases the frequency of a sent clock supplied to a start-stop synchronous transmitter 20 to increase the transmission speed. Consequently, the read quantity of the buffer 10 increases, so the use frequency never increases. Thus, the transmission-side terminal equipment needs not have the function for stopping and restarting the transmission by receiving control characters.
