Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To readily and economically obtain a thermochromic material, by adding a poor solvent to a heated solution of a polyolefin polymer in a solvent, depositing the above-mentioned polymer, drying the polymer and swelling the dried polymer in an aromatic organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A thermochromic material obtained by dissolving a polyolefin polymer in a solvent consisting of an aromatic organic solvent, preferably BTX, tetralin, etc., while heating and a poor solvent for the above-mentioned polyolefin polymer, e.g. methanol, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, etc., is added to rapidly deposit the polyolefin polymer, drying the deposited polyolefin polymer and swelling the dried polymer in an aromatic organic solvent.
