MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a device with a simple structure by the composition starting a recording and reproducing motion with the signal locking a cassette holder at a specific position and the signal detecting the presence of the lug of a cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 2 is inserted in X direction inside a holder 3a and a top plate 3f is pressed in Y direction, and the pin 18b at the tip of an arm 18 is displaced in X direction and a simultaneously descended locking member 20 is rotated in the left turn centering around the shaft. When the holder arrives at the specific loading position, the pin 18b is locked by engaging with the recessed part 20a of the member 20 and the tip 20b of the member 20 comes into contact with a detector 15. The detector 17b of a member 17a is abutted to a mis-erasing prevention lug 2f. Since the recording and reproducing are started by the detection signal of two detectors 15, 17b, a malfunction is prevented with a simple structure and the reliability of the device can be improved.
