CONSTITUTION:A preliminary plating cell, a first plating cell 1 and a second plating cell 2 are installed. In the first cell 1, the side B of a tape-shaped foamed body 3 is faced inward and brought into contact with a cathode electrifying roll 4 to plate the side A faced outward with a metal by about half of a prescribed amount (weight). In the second cell 2, the side A of the formed body 3 is faced inward and brought into contact with a cathode electrifying roll 5 to plate the side B faced outward by the remaining half. By this method, the sides A, B have the same strength and the cambering and cracking of the plated foamed body by internal stress produced during heating and cooling are prevented.
