THREE FACES SIMULTANEOUS PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR USE IN THIS METHOD

PURPOSE:To enable three faces simultaneous processing with one processing device by holding and processing a substance with two processing tools which polish at different peripheral speeds and oppose each other and processing the peripheral wall of a substance to be processed by the self rotation of the substance to be processed which is generated with the different peripheral speed. CONSTITUTION:Processing tool faces 7a, 7b formed on tools 2a, 2b for face processing are pressed simultaneously against the surface to be processed, which make a pair and oppose each other, of a substance to be processed 1 and each is processed simultaneously into the desired processing condition regarding the shape surface accuracy and the surface roughness, etc. The processing tools 2a, 2b are different in peripheral speed in the rotation. Accordingly, self rotation is generated in the substance 1 to be processed which is held by both processing tools 2a, 2b. Tools 4, 5 for processing the peripheral wall are made to contact with the peripheral wall of this self-rotating substance to be processed and the substance is processed in symmetry to the center axis of the self rotation. By this constitution, it becomes possible to simultaneously process three faces, both faces and a side face, of the substance 1 to be processed with one processing device.
