FINGERPRINT COLLATION TYPE MANAGING METHOD

PURPOSE:To attain recognition only for specific persons concerned by outputting recognition information when inputted, quantized fingerprint information coincides with the quantized fingerprints of registered persons, and outputting and printing quantized fingerprint information when they do not coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:An optical scanner 3 photographs the fingerprint 8 of a finger 7 placed on a finger placing base 1, and the photographed fingerprint is quantized. On the other hand information about quantized fingerprints of plural registered persons is previously stored in a memory device 5. Then the inputted, quantized fingerprint information is collated and compared with the previously stored information about the quantized fingerprints of the registered persons. When they coincide with each other recognition information is outputted, otherwise, the inputted quantized fingerprint information is outputted and printed as signals. Thus precise decision to a person is attained.
