Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve a fuel consumption rate and reduce a speed change shock by making a direct connection clutch slip for a short period of time during which an input torque increases according to variances in engine rpm at the time of shifting a transmission. CONSTITUTION:During a certain period of time of shifting a transmission in which an input torque of the transmission increases, a clutch oil pressure is reduced to bring a direct connection clutch from a complete engagement condition to a slip condition. With this constitution, an amount of increase in the input torque can be held down to reduce a speed change shock, and an engagement shock is held down at the time of re-engagement of the direct connection clutch to prevent a busy shift. Further, fuel consumption rate can be improved by making the slip condition for a short period of time.
