Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make it possible to set a desired load value without carrying out a model machining process when the condition of machining is changed, by storing a series of load values indicating a load characteristic in memory during machining operation, and by using thus stored values as a series of desired values giving a desired load characteristic when the desire load characteristic is changed. CONSTITUTION:When the machining is progressed, due to variations in the machining conditions such as the abrasion of a tool and the like, the initial load characteristic set by a model machining process becomes unoptimum. At this time, the worker stops the device and manipulates a key-board 14 to start a program operation so that a message requesting the input of a file name to be copied and a file name to which a copy is made is indicated on a CRT display device 13. When the worker selects a subfile name in which data reset as an optimum desired load characteristic is stored, and another subfile name in which the desired load characteristic to be rewritten is stored, among various subfiles, and inputs these file names, the load value data is copied in the designated subfile. Accordingly, after this manipulation, in accordance with a newly set desired load characteristic, the control of feed is carried out to enhance the workability without necessity of a model machining process.
