TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER FOR FOOD PROCESSING

PURPOSE:To support a screw shaft at both ends in a manner to enable the screw centering, by rotatably and slidably fitting a protruded end of a tie-rod bar to a taper ring for bearing contacting the tapered faces of the members with each other. CONSTITUTION:A pair of parallel screw shafts S, S having cantilever structure are placed rotatably in a common stationary cylinder 1. An end of a tie-rod bar 3 of the screw shaft S is protruded from a screw end ring 4 and a taper ring 11 for bearing is attached to a die adapter 8 or die 9 of the cylinder 1. The protruded end of the tie-rod bar 3 is fitted rotatably and slidably to the taper ring 11 for bearing contacting the tapered faces of the members with each other, screw shaft S can be supported at both ends to enable the screw centering, an excellent bearing function comparable to general bearing can be attained, the intrusion or the leak of material and the loss of material pressure immediately before the die can be prevented and the extrusion can be smoothly and uniformly carried out by the use of the above extruder.
