Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable execution of gear shift control being coincided with lock of center diff and each running state of free, by a method wherein, in linkage with shifting of center diff, the gear shift pattern of an automatic transmission is automatically shifted. CONSTITUTION:During 4-wheel drive, a gear shift pattern shifting means 17a automatically shifts a gear shift pattern for center diff lock and center diff free by means of a signal from a Center diff shifting means 16, and gear shift control is effected by a gear shift control means 17 based on a gear shift pattern responding t o each running state. The gear shift control means 17 is formed with an arithmetic processing unit which compares either of plural gear shift patterns, being preset and stored, with a sensor signal, by means of which the running state of a vehicle is represented, and controls actuation of the electromagnetic type switching valve of the hydraulic circuit of a main transmission 3, based on the comparing result.
