Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the title dope which has a low undissolved cellulose content and gives molded products of good quality economically, by dissolving cellulose and a dithiocarboxylic acid and/or an alkali metal dithiocarboxylate in an aq. alkaline soln. CONSTITUTION:Cellulose of type I having an average degree of polymn. of 100-700, which has been optionally subjected to hydrolysis with an acid or alkali, crushing, blasting and a treatment in an extruder under a high temp., and not less than 0.01wt%, pref. 0.1-5wt% (based on the amount of the cellulose) dithiocarboxylic acid of the formula (wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each a bivalent atomic group selected from alkylene and phenylene) and/or alkali metal dithiocarboxylate are dissolved in an aq. alkaline soln. (e.g., an aq. soln. of NaOH).
