VIDEOTEX RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To surely return the receiver into an initial state at a line disconnec tion by allowing a timer circuit to output a forced end control signal to an interrupting gate based on a cut-off detection signal so as to interrupt a recep tion detection signal. CONSTITUTION:If a line is interrupted during the communication of videotex and a DC current from a telephone line network 1 is interrupted and when the communication is stopped, a cut-off detection signal is outputted to a timer circuit 27 from a line cut-off detection circuit 26. In such a case, a timer section 29 counts a clock from a pulse shaping device 28. If the interruption of line is consecutive for 1 sec or above, a forced end control signal is outputted from the timer section 29 to the interrupting gate 30. Thus, a changeover control signal to a relay control circuit 24 is interrupted from the changeover control gate 31, switches 3a, 3b are switched to contacts a1, a2, a transmission/reception terminal section 5 is cut off from the line network 1, the telephone set section 4 is connected again to the line network 1 and the videotex receiver 2 is re stored to the initial state prior to communication.
