Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve serviceability of a temperature sensor value for controlling such as intake air flow in accordance with the temperature of engine cooling water by gradually inclining a plate bimetal in accordance with the temperature of a portion to be detected thereby to continuously control the positional relation between a valve element and a valve seat. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of engine cooling water is relatively low and the heat value imparted through a metal housing 101 to a plate bimetal 200 is small, a valve element 132 is in engagement with a valve seat 134 to cut off a fluid passage. When the temperature of the cooling water becomes high and the heat value imparted to the plate bimetal 200 is increased, the plate bimetal 200 continuously effects bending displacement, with one end 203 inclined toward the left. This causes the valve element 132 and a valve case 130 under the biasing force of a spring 138 in the valve-opening direction to be moved to the left, so that the valve seat 134 is gradually disengaged therefrom. This permits gradual increase of intake air flow for an engine from an inlet port 121 to an outlet port 113. |
