COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE GENERATING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To shorten a program generation time by automatically generating a higher order device type program from a lower order device type program so that the processing speed in a compatible higher order device type corresponds to that in a lower order device type. CONSTITUTION:A processing capability deciding means 111 executes a test program stored in a test program storage means 121 to check the processing capability of the higher order device type. A processing capability difference deciding means 113 compares the processing capability of the higher order device type checked by the processing capability deciding means 111 with lower order device type processing capability information 129 to obtain the difference of processing speed. A program generating means 115 inserts a dummy program corresponding to the difference of the processing capability obtained by the processing capability difference deciding means 113 to a lower order program stored in a lower order device type program storage means 125 to generate the program of the higher order device type. This generated program is stored in a higher order device type program storage means 127. Lower order device type processing capability information 129 of the lower order device type is inputted to not only check the processing capability of the higher order device type but also generate the programs of the higher order device type without manual operations.
